1 Day IS291:2015 Workshop Announced

Firetrade.ie are delighted to announce a return to training courses.

Feb 20th will see the first of our 1 day Workshops taking place.

The course is designed to assist in the understanding of the Irish Standard Document 291:2015 and the Statutory Safety Legislation, Regulations & Competency obligations within the specific area.

The scope of the Portable Fire Extinguisher IS 291:2015 workshop is based on best practice in the Irish Fire Protection Industry with a baseline on technical standards incorporating Irish Standard 291 (2015) and Irish Standard EN 3, as well as the P.E.D.

The course is applicable to all who are actively involved with the Recommendation / Selection, Installation, Inspection, Service & Maintenance of Portable Fire Extinguishers.

The course will provide attendees with a full & comprehensive understanding of Irish Standard 291:2015 and how to apply it in a practical manner from the perspective of both the service provider & the end user / client.

Course Director & Tutor: Mr Brendan Kavanagh – JOIFF Accredited / Chartered Fire Safety Practitioner & Professional Fire Prevention Officer.

These courses will only run when the minimum required attendance has been reached.

Accreditation & Certification: Upon successful completion of the course, and all applicable Course Work each Student will be awarded an Accredited Certificate of Competence signed by an Authorised Person.

All participants will be required to ensure their personal safety in respect to Eye, Hand and Foot protection. The workshop will run from 9am – 5pm with lunch included. Once fully booked all Hotel details will be emailed to all attendees.
